I just noticed that Kohl's had chosen Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas to be their spokesperson for their Junior Clothing line. I wonder what others think about this decision. It bothers me that companies celebrities and sex to market to our kids. But am I the only one?

This is a very disturbing trend that seems to be getting more and more popular. As young girls look up to sex symbols for role models, they start growing up faster than ever before. It bothers me, too. What can we do? Be vocal about our thoughts, write letters to companies expressing our disgust and reminding them that we won't be buying their products if they continue marketing in that way. Spread the word, be strong role models ourselves for the younger generation and speak up if we disagree with something!
